Super cute small shop/cafe. They have cakes with delicious fillings and drinks such as cream custard or iced latte. The atmosphere is really relaxed and the workers are very friendly, helpful and they also speak English. I paid for the set menu with was about 1000 yen and then I also got a souvenir here as well which was around 2000 yen. They have very limited seating in the back (4 tables with 2 seats at each) and small seating area at the front entrance. Love this place if you’re going to the nearby temple!

Must stop!! What an adorable stop after visiting the temple nearby. It’s a mom and pop kind of shop who are incredibly sweet. It was a joy trying to have a conversation with them as we tried to use apps to translate back and forth. The little cat cakes are delicious and iced matcha was phenomenal as well. We asked for a little sweetness and they were able to accommodate that.

Extremely cute lil coffee shop with Maneki Neko shaped goodies and souvenirs. The lady at the desk speaks english and the mister that prepares everything is very sweet. They both give a wonderful service. It is on the smaller side with few tables, so if you come in a group I recommend ordering for take out. They bake their own goods and make their own matcha icecream. I tried the matcha ice cream and red bean monaka and it was pure bliss. I am leaving Japan in two days but if I ever come back, this is a must visit, specially if you are visiting the Gotokuji Temple.

You can try these little “cat-shaped” dumplings here — really delicious! They also serve matcha. But be careful: if you choose to eat inside, you’ll need to order at least one drink per person. The prices are a bit on the touristy side, but the staff is super friendly.

Very cute little cafe with cat pastries and great matcha! Our daughter had a great strawberry smoothie and even found paper and colored pens !

I stopped by for the BIGCAT Japanese cake with custard filling and a matcha latte. Both were delicious, and the service was friendly. The café is midway between Gotokuji Station and Gotokuji Temple — a nice spot to rest after visiting the temple. They also sell Neko Cat souvenirs at affordable prices. When I visited around lunchtime, there was seating available, but the space felt a little cramped. Still, a relaxing spot for a quick break.

RARASAND, 1 Chome-8-5 Gotokuji, Setagaya City, Tokyo 154-0021, Japan @rarasand.setagaya A cute beckoning cat themed cafe located near the Gotokuji Temple. Maneki-neko (招き猫), beckoning cat is a common Japanese figurine which is often believed to bring good luck and fortune to the owner. They have some unique souvenirs too! I got a golden beckoning cat figure from there! I also tried heir raspberry cream shofuku-yaki and it was tasty! The matcha that we had was really good too! ⏰Hours: Mon to Sun 1000-1800 Save this for your Tokyo trip

The cakes were not only adorable, but also very fresh. We had the sweet bean flavor and the texture was just perfectly chewy. I also love the souvenirs sold at that store. We bought one lucky cat statue as a souvenir :)
